As decided by our Patreon supporters, we have unpacked the fall of the Assad government, as with the dust now somewhat settled in Syria, we’ve taken the opportunity to compile all the key battles, movements, and events that led to the downfall of the Assad government into one cohesive timeline.
With the timeline then being complemented by detailed maps, allowing us to analyse the tactics and alliances that successfully dismantled defences which had held for years, and providing a clearer insight into how events in Syria unfolded so swiftly and dramatically. During the stream, we’ll delve into why certain decisions were successful, who was backing each side, and what the likely future holds for Syria, something I felt was often lost in the day-to-day reporting of the situation.
